With a focus on sustainable electrical solutions, Melbourne based Ben Russell Electrical Co (BREC) is an award winning electrical contracting company, specialising in architecturally designed commercial and residential spaces working with some of the big names across Melbourne. 

Having found ZETR in 2017, the team at BREC have installed ZETR across a diverse range of their architectural projects including KPDO’s white House in 2019. “Every switch and GPO was ZETR. It was chosen for its seamless integration into the joinery and stone.” 

We have a big respect for BRECX and their dedication to Sustainability in their business. “We are always looking at ways to do more. We look at every aspect at our business and try to improve our carbon footprint. In 2020 we are carbon neutral.” 

We caught up with Director Ben to hear about their favourite projects and what’s next for BREC.

What’s your favourite project to date?

Limestone House by John Wardle Architects – Built to the ‘Living Building Challenge’, no PVC was used on this project… We needed to rethink traditional materials and come up with a more sustainable alternative. This has led to change on other projects and the way we work.
