When Jacques Pieters of JP Woodworks’ contacted us in 2019 for a salon project in WA we immediately connected over ‘details’. Jacques vision is for every home in Perth to own a bespoke piece of furniture that will be passed down for generations to come. This philosophy of quantity pieces that have history in their materials, and creativity in their designs drives Jacque to perch creative boundaries in his work. 

“Here in WA I've had the pleasure of using magnificent pieces of timber including jarrah, sheoak, American walnut and wandoo. Old school values and integrity are core values of the business and drive my passion for excellence. It's very important for me to have close relationships with each one of my clients as we go on a journey together from idea to design to creation. We create something together from nothing and, for me, the most rewarding part is seeing my client's reaction when I present them with the finished product”. 

We have had the pleasure of working with Jacques on a number of custom furniture and joinery pieces where ZETR brought electrical functionality to the designs.

The slick design and perfect functionality make it a stand-out product. The client was “absolutely blown away by how the product and the joinery came together.”

Jacques talks us through some tips for using the ZETR range in his projects. 

What’s your design approach?

We enjoy big challenging joinery, solid timber and parametric designs. We love pushing boundaries. We also have a can do attitude and have done some extremely challenging projects that have given us huge experience.

Who are you working with now? 

We work with designers like Ohlo Studio, Texture Tone Design, and Gabrielle Scott. 

We have just finished a major project with parametric design for the City of Perth. 

We have done a bespoke fitout for a hair salon with ZETR GPOs and the next stage will be extending the salon in the near future. We loved working with ZETR on the salon we did. The plugs really made the joinery stand out.

Your big tip for working with ZETR products?

Jacques spent the time to create his own jig template, by taking the time to perfect this it made the installation simpler for following out across multiple projects.
